This is a 50th Birthday Party Invitation I recently designed for my own mom’s surprise party. And below was the banner I put together to match the invitation. We didnt want to do a black over the hill theme so we went for a more classy fall look. It was a big hit and we got her good!

This is business card I designed for a Seismologist, the study of earthquakes and elastic waves through the Earth, in South Pasadena, California. I really tried to incorporate how the Earth shifts and the waves it produces when there is an earthquake, into the card design. Susan Hough is also an author and has written books such as Earthshaking Science, Richter’s Scale and Predicting the Unpredictable.

There is a Dog Parade on June 13th at 11 am on Delaware Street, City Market area Kansas City. Tom Schmidt Photography will have his studio open for pet photos (not just dogs, all pets welcome) that day from 9 am to 3 pm. Tom will donate the $10 shooting fee to Wayside Waifs. This is a postcard I designed for the Wine Walk on Delaware. Starting on March 21, 2009 several local businesses on Historic Delaware Street will be hosting a wine walk each month (in the warmer months). Some of the businesses participating are Cafe Al Dente, Cara and Cabezas Contemporary, DElofts, Eljay’s River Market Coffee House, Hair Spray Cafe, River Market Art Co., Silk Road Travelers, Tom Schmidt Photography and Urban Dwellings Design Ltd. All are welcome to join in on the fun. It’s only $15/person and if you visit Eljay’s River Market Coffee House at 412 Delaware Street anytime between 3-6 pm on March 21 you receive a map and you can begin your wine walk there. So about a year and half ago I worked with Tom of Tom Schmidt Photography to create this logo below. On this side of Tom’s photography business he focuses on senior photos, fashion and commercial.
This year he wanted to recreate his brand for his wedding business (him and his dad work together shooting weddings, Tom shoots the engagements). This is what we came up with:
Since Tom does the engagements on his own and the photo shoots are a totally different feel – more grungy and fun, he wanted to brand that as well. Below is the new engagement logo.
